14th Annual Breakfast with the Stars - A Father's Day Weekend Celebration
June 13 - 15, 2008

Joan and Peter Karstens, innkeepers of Brentwood on the Beach, a spacious St. Joseph area bed and breakfast,
are celebrating their 2008 Huron Country Playhouse theatre event: the Annual Breakfast with the Stars. The Karstens will welcome resident Father's Day weekend guests to attend Huron Country Playhouse performances and then dine with the stars at the lakeshore location on June 15th, for a Sunday morning Breakfast with the Stars brunch. Their B&B guests will be a captivated audience, and will hear more about the theatre's season line-up, and chat with cast and theatre staff members about their own experiences on stage and behind the scenes. The featured cast is from this year's production of My Fair Lady, a popular and familiar musical.

Joan and Peter Karstens have created a special Father's Day getaway package that integrates this special
theatre-fan event along with dinner before the Saturday evening performance attendance in addition to golf time co-ordination to make this a unique gift for fathers, sons and family members.

"This is a one-of-a-kind location and our guests have been returning for this theatre weekend away for many years", says Joan Karstens, long-time innkeeper at this welcoming location, perched on the bluffs overlooking Lake Huron shoreline. are grown but want to get together without the hassles of hosting. We'll do the work for them!"

Guests who stay at Brentwood on the Beach throughout the theatre season save 10% on performance attendance by booking their tickets when they make their reservations to stay at the B&B. This year's season at Drayton's Huron Country Playhouse includes: favourite musical My Fair Lady, musical comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, political comedy Sorry...I'm Canadian, musical comedy A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and at Playhouse II the musical romance I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. The season schedule begins with My Fair Lady in early June.

Our event kicks off on Friday with the annual car cruise, leaving the Zurich Community Centre at 7 p.m. and ending at dusk with the spectacular fireworks show. On Saturday the pancake and sausage breakfast begins at 7 am on the ice surface, followed by the “bean meal” which consists of a smoked pork chop, applesauce, coleslaw, bun and our famous baked beans. Our midway and street market lasts all day, as does one of the largest custom rod and antiques car shows. Hey, we get about 800 cars, it’s quite something to see!! Canada.
