Short Term Rentals

Council adopted By-law 68-2023 to license, regulate and govern the operation of short-term rentals on June 19th, 2023. The application period is now open.


Short-term rental licensing is a comprehensive program set out by municipal by-law. Council for the Municipality of Bluewater is moving to licensing to balance the economic benefits of short-term rentals with the needs of the neighbourhoods where they exist. Licensing ensures the safety of operators, renters and neighbours so that everyone may have an enjoyable experience in Bluewater.
